Inner Space Meditation

A fortnightly meditation group - space to slow down and come home to yourself

Meditation offers an opportunity to slow down and turn gently towards ourselves.

These fortnightly gatherings create a space to pause, become more present to ourselves, and explore what it means to live with greater awareness, compassion and intention. They are not about emptying the mind, achieving a particular state, or becoming "good" at meditation. Rather, they are an invitation to meet ourselves just as we are.

Whether you have been meditating for years, have tried it a few times, or are completely new to it, you are warmly welcome.

What We Explore Together

Meditation can take many forms. Whilst mindfulness and the Buddhist Vipassana meditation sit at the heart of my own practice, I also draw on a range of contemplative traditions and approaches for us to explore together.

My intention is not to teach a particular method, but to help you discover practices that support a deeper relationship with yourself and with life - broadening your capacity to meet whatever is present with awareness, compassion and curiosity.

The aim is not to stop thinking, but to develop a different relationship with your thoughts.

Practices may include:

  • Breath awareness

  • Body-based meditation

  • Loving-kindness meditation

  • Walking meditation

  • Mindfulness practices

  • Contemplative reflection

  • Mantra and sound

  • Gentle movement

A Different Way of Being

Many of us spend our lives caught in busyness, moving from one task to the next, responding to demands, responsibilities and distractions. Meditation invites a different rhythm.

When we slow down and pay attention, we often begin to notice things that have been overlooked: the wisdom of the body, the movements of the heart, the stories of the mind, and the deeper currents that run beneath everyday life.

Over time, meditation can help us cultivate greater presence, clarity, compassion and resilience. It can also open us to a deeper sense of connection - with ourselves, with others, and with whatever we understand the sacred to be.

What to Expect

Each session includes a mixture of guided and quiet practice, sometimes a little teaching or reflection and space for questions or sharing.

There is no pressure to speak, share or participate in any way that feels uncomfortable. You are welcome exactly as you are.

Many people find that practising in a group offers encouragement, support and a sense of companionship. There is something both powerful and reassuring about sitting alongside others who are also making space in their lives to pause, turn inward and explore - together - the challenges and joys of practising presence.
