Marking Life’s Thresholds

Creating Opportunities to Pause and Honour Life’s Significant Thresholds

There are moments in life that ask to be marked and truly honoured. A beginning, an ending, a transition. These are the thresholds at which we most need to pause, to gather those we love, and to recognise that this moment matters. This is sacred and deserves to be witnessed.

The ceremonies I create are shaped not only by my training as an Interfaith Minister, but by the essence of my work: accompanying people through life's significant moments. I carefully craft deeply personal ceremonies that honour the uniqueness of each person, family and occasion, creating space to pause, reflect and witness what matters most.

I offer ceremonies for many of life's significant moments: welcoming a new baby, celebrating a marriage, honouring a life that has ended, or creating a personal ritual for times of loss, change or transition - especially those moments that hold deep meaning, but for which there is no recognised ceremony.

Each ceremony is thoughtfully crafted and shaped around you, your story and what matters most - drawing on the people, words, music, beliefs, traditions and values that reflect who you are.

For couples wishing to celebrate their commitment to one another, I offer bespoke wedding blessings. While these are not legally binding ceremonies, they provide the freedom to create something deeply personal, meaningful and sacred.

Funeral and memorial ceremonies hold a particular place in my heart, rooted in many years of accompanying people through death and loss. If this is where you find yourself, I have created a dedicated page here where you can discover more about how I work and what I offer.

Every ceremony I create is made with you and for you. I take time to listen deeply - to who you are, what you carry, what you believe, and what would feel most true and meaningful. Whether you come with a clear vision or simply a feeling that something needs marking, we find the shape of it together. The ceremony that emerges is wholly your own: bespoke, beautiful, and held with care.

As an Interfaith Minister, I work within all traditions and none. Whatever your faith, beliefs or background, and whatever your relationship with the sacred, we can work together to create a ceremony that will feel genuinely, deeply your own.

Creating Your Ceremony

Every ceremony begins with a conversation. This is an opportunity for me to get to know you a little, to explore what you are hoping to create, and to see whether I am the right person to support you. We can meet in person or by phone or Zoom, whichever feels most comfortable.

Some people arrive with a clear vision of the ceremony they would like; others simply know that they want to mark a significant moment in a meaningful way. Both are equally welcome. We will explore your story, your hopes and what matters most to you and together we’ll find the shape that feels right.

Because every ceremony is unique, fees vary according to the type of ceremony, the time involved in preparing it, and where it will take place. Following our initial conversation, I will provide a clear quotation with no obligation to proceed.

How the process unfolds

  • We have an initial conversation in person, by phone or Zoom.

  • We take time to explore your story, hopes and ideas.

  • I write and shape your ceremony, sharing drafts along the way.

  • We make any final refinements together.

  • I lead your ceremony on the day.

There is no single way to create a meaningful ceremony. Some are simple and intimate; others involve family, friends and the wider community. Some are rooted in established traditions, while others grow from something entirely personal. My role is to listen carefully and help create a ceremony that feels authentic to you.

Fees

As a guide, my fee begins at £175. Because every ceremony is created individually, the final cost will depend on the nature of ceremony, the time involved in preparing it, and where it will be held. Following our initial conversation, I will provide a clear quotation, so you’ll know exactly what to expect before making any commitment.

To pause, to gather, to honour, to witness.
